 The Sippican Historical Society 

(SHS) is a non-profit organization located in the historic Walton Nye Ellis House at the corner of Main and Front Streets in Marion, Massachusetts.

Its purpose is to create and foster an interest in the history of Marion; to encourage historical research and writing; to collect documents and relics and to provide proper care for them; and to establish a museum to hold the historical material pertaining to Marion.

Route 95 thru Connecticut to Providence, RI.
In Providence, Route 195 East toward Cape Cod.

We have several lovely note card packages, including those with images of Old Landing circa 1842, with Charles Parsons’ (watercolor) depiction of the Village corner of Front and Main, and Nancy Dyer Mitton’s quadriptych, Remembrance of Things Past.  We also offer maps, mousepads, posters and coasters, even a lovely antique floral print gift wrap for the perfect finishing touch.  All proceeds go directly to the support of the Sippican Historical Society, so be sure to keep us in mind when heading out to make a purchase, and give the gift of history!
