Marion Antiques Show Helps Tree Committee Beautify Route 6

The Marion Tree Committee is very pleased and proud to have planted some significant new trees along Route 6 in Marion. The Sippican Historical and Preservation Society donated proceeds from its 2006 Antiques Show to the Tree Committee so that we were able to enhance the look of Route 6 with 22 new trees this fall. Steve Gonsalves from Eden Landscapes and Tim Crowley of Crowley Landscape shared in the planting, and the Town DPW will fill the green watering bags every week. All the businesses along Route 6, except for one, gave permission and were very pleased to receive this generous green gift from the Historical Society. On behalf of the Tree Committee, we would like to thank the Board and membership of the Sippican Historical Society for their “green” vision for the town.
